Safety Academia at the Georgian Economic Forum
Representatives of Safety Academia attended the 31st discussion of the Georgian Economic Forum, titled “Water Resources and Tariff Policy, Urban Development, Economic Growth, and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The forum brought together representatives of government institutions, local authorities, regulatory bodies, the private sector, academia, and international companies. The discussion addressed the effective management of water resources, the development of water supply systems, tariff policy, current challenges facing urban infrastructure, and their impact on the country’s economic growth and sustainable development.
As representatives of the vocational education and training sector, we consider it particularly important to participate in the processes shaping the country’s economic, infrastructural, and sustainable development. Effective water resource management and modern urban infrastructure depend not only on technology and investment but also on human capital equipped with relevant knowledge, practical skills, and a strong safety culture.
Vocational education plays an essential role in preparing specialists who can meet modern professional requirements in water supply, energy, environmental technologies, occupational safety, and infrastructure.
For Safety Academia, participation in such platforms is more than a representative activity. It is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the sectors’ real needs, exchange best practices, develop new partnerships, and align vocational education programmes more closely with labour market demands.
