Learning Resources
The program consists of theoretical and practical modules. Each week, 15 hours—part in a classroom, part in a laboratory or work environment.
In every work environment—whether in a factory, an office building, a warehouse, or a construction site—people are exposed to invisible dangers every day: Excessive noise, vibration, temperature extremes, toxic substances, or poor lighting. Measuring these hazards, comparing them to permissible exposure limits, and proper documentation are what state law requires of every employer. A specialist in measuring microclimate and physical factors performs these tasks. Georgian legislation (Decrees No. 69 and No. 341) provides for mandatory periodic measurements.
The role of microclimate in occupational safety • Influence of physical factors • Labor legislation (Decrees No. 69, No. 341) • ISO, NIOSH, OSHA standards
Sound level meter, vibrometer, anemometer, temp./humidity meter, dust meter, light meter, gas meter • Calibration methods • Accuracy and ranges
Hazard Identification • Risk Analysis and Assessment • Hierarchy of Controls • Job Hazard Management Document
Assessment of the measurement environment • Selection of instruments • Safety rules • Measurement methodology • Record keeping
Conducting real-time measurements • Recording data • Comparing results with national and international standards (ISO, NIOSH, OSHA, No. 69, No. 341)
Analysis of results • Determination of threat level • Recommendations • Preparation of the assessment act • Preparation for the exam
A state-recognized certificate that confirms competence in the measurement and assessment of physical factors in the work environment, in accordance with national and international standards.
