One of the important international European events in the field of vocational education, the "2nd Global VET Thematic Team Annual Event – Skills for a Competitive Europe," is successfully taking place in Bruges, Belgium.
This international conference brings together leaders in vocational education, policy makers, industry representatives, and educational institutions from various European countries to discuss one of the most significant challenges facing modern Europe — a skills shortage that directly impacts economic competitiveness, the digital and green transition, healthcare systems, and the future labor market.
It is a great honor for the Security Academy and Georgia to actively participate in these high-level international European discussions and to lead Workshop 0.04 — "Skills for a Competitive Europe.".
The conference once again highlights the strategic importance of vocational education and training (VET) as a strategic importance for sustainable economic development, innovation, labor market resilience, and as a key foundation for preparing human capital for the professions of the future.
Europe's future competitiveness will largely depend on whether, how quickly and effectively education systems can adapt to the changing demands of the labor market — and it is vocational education that plays a crucial role in this process.
We are proud that Georgia is represented on this important European platform and are strengthening international cooperation, partnership, and knowledge sharing for the development of vocational education.
