Today, Safety Academia Vocational College had the privilege of participating in the international launch event of UNESCO-UNEVOC's new publication, "Integrating AI in TVET: A Practical Guide for Institutions."
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping education, employment and the future of skills. As AI becomes an integral part of everyday life and professional practice, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions must ensure that its integration is responsible, ethical, learner-centred and aligned with labour market needs.
Organized by UNESCO-UNEVOC, the event brought together leading international experts, researchers, university leaders and TVET practitioners from around the world to share practical experiences, innovative approaches and policy recommendations for integrating AI into vocational education.
The discussions clearly demonstrated that successful AI integration is not about adopting technology first—it is about transforming institutions responsibly. Strong governance, ethical principles, teacher capacity, human oversight and close cooperation with industry were consistently highlighted as the foundations of meaningful AI integration.
The launch of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Practical Guide marks an important milestone for vocational education worldwide. It provides TVET institutions with a comprehensive roadmap for integrating AI while safeguarding educational quality, human agency, equity, safety and professional responsibility.
For Safety Academia Vocational College, this event strongly aligns with our strategic vision. As we continue advancing vocational education in Georgia, we remain committed to integrating Artificial Intelligence responsibly—leveraging innovation to enhance teaching, learning and institutional development while ensuring that safety, ethics, professional competence and learner-centred education remain at the heart of everything we do.
We extend our sincere appreciation to UNESCO-UNEVOC, Shenzhen Polytechnic University, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, all distinguished speakers, moderators and participating institutions for their outstanding contributions to this important global initiative.
The knowledge and best practices shared during the event will undoubtedly contribute to shaping
the future of Technical and Vocational Education and Training across the world.
