Learning from Europe's Leading Centre for Vocational Education
Safety Academia Vocational College was honoured to participate in the EVBB EU Policy Camp 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece, where one of the highlights was the opportunity to engage with experts from CEDEFOP – the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training.
As the European Union's agency for vocational education, skills, and qualifications, CEDEFOP plays a pivotal role in shaping evidence-based policies that strengthen vocational education systems, anticipate future skills needs, support lifelong learning, and improve workforce competitiveness across Europe.
For institutions committed to excellence, understanding CEDEFOP's research, policy recommendations, and strategic vision is essential. Its work influences how European countries develop qualifications, modernise vocational education, respond to labour market changes, and prepare citizens for the future of work.
Participating in discussions led by CEDEFOP experts and visiting its headquarters provided valuable insights into the future direction of European vocational education. These perspectives will support Safety Academia Vocational College as we continue aligning our institutional development with European standards, strengthening international cooperation, and creating innovative, labour market-driven educational programmes in Georgia.
We sincerely thank CEDEFOP for its warm hospitality and for its continued leadership in advancing vocational education across Europe, as well as EVBB and AKMI International for organising an outstanding Policy Camp that brought together Europe's VET community.
The future of vocational education depends on collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making—and CEDEFOP continues to be one of the driving forces behind that vision.
